Sebastian began life in the arts as a classically trained singer of opera and sacred repertoire, performing on several records and winning a Gramophone Award for Early Music.
Transitioning to the film/TV industry, Sebastian co-founded screenplay development consultancy ScriptUp in 2019, working as an editor and consultant on dozens of film and TV development projects from companies such as ABC, Disney+ Hotstar, Beta Film, Telepool/Global Screen and Applause Entertainment.
Since 2021, Sebastian has been developing a broad slate of his own, alongside writer-producer Felix von Stumm, under their production and development imprint Humble Priory. See below for more details.
Alongside his screen projects, Sebastian is currently writing a novel (A Pilgrimage of Grace) set against the chaos of the English Reformation, and an opera libretto (Optina 93), telling the true story of the Satanist murder of three Russian monks after the fall of the Soviet Union.
In what little time remains, he’s also developing a board game.
Australia-born, Sebastian is based between rural south-west England and New York City. He holds a degree in English Literature from Princeton University.
